专辑介绍
摩登天空合辑唱片已成为国内唱片业最高水准的合辑系列，继1998开始陆续推出前4张合辑后，2005年摩登天空推出的又一张标志性合辑唱片《摩登天空5》，势必将掀起主流摇滚回归浪潮。1998年是北京新声活动的开创元年，而在2005年《摩登天空 5》中收录了当时就已确立地位而现在已成为摇滚阵营中流砥柱的乐队，像清醒乐队、新裤子乐队、果味VC乐队和超级市场乐队等，也有主流势力回归中的新势力、新力量，如牛奶@咖啡组合等。《摩登天空5》凝聚了新老力量，引领新音乐发展方向；再结合摩登合辑一向的品牌效应，势必会吸引到众多乐迷并预示着新一轮音乐运动的到来！
自1998年《摩登天空1》音乐合辑问世以来，摩登天空系列合辑已走过8个年头。作为开启北京摇滚乐新篇章的标志性唱片，摩登天空系列合辑以及所引发的音乐运动 (北京新声) 强烈地影响着青少年文化，引领内地新音乐潮流。不同于其他音乐拼盘，摩登天空系列合辑秉承“发现新的声音，制作高品质的音乐”的宗旨，从《摩登天空1》到《摩登天空5》，8年间为众多有实力的新人和新的音乐势力提供开放的平台，同时也为内地摇滚乐的发展描 绘出一幅幅清新的蓝图。
《摩登天空5》再次收录了新裤子、清醒、超级市场等“北京新声”代表乐队的全新作品，更有主流摇滚强团果味VC，新人实力组合牛奶@咖啡、旅行团、苏菲花园、声音玩具、后摇滚新贵重塑雕像的权利等等。可以说，每一张摩登天空合辑都在寻求突破，力求令人耳目一新！这张唱片凝聚了新老力量，向乐迷集中展示了新老音乐人的创作才华和创新精神：吉他流行、电子流行、复古 Disco、Indie-pop、Post-rock，兼顾了可听性和流行性，就像98年夏天人们听到《摩登天空1》一样，激动而充满诱惑。

《摩登天空5》经典的回归和潮流的未来
如果说那个叫做《摩登天空》的系列合辑是上世纪90年代以来，华语流行音乐领域中最有影响力的唱片合辑的话，恐怕不会有人反对。记得98年《摩登天空 1》一上市，就给人一种横空出世的感觉，除了来自西安的飞乐队在此之前因为许巍而有所耳闻之外，其他的乐队或者艺人都是你之前闻所未闻的。当然，里面的音乐也让当时还没听过多少音乐的你感觉诧异，也许在此之前你接触的只是金属和它们在中国那些八杆子打不着的亲戚，还不知道英式和后朋克到底长什么模样，对电子这个概念也仅局限于 Disco 或 Techno 的理解。
这8年来，该系列合辑所扮演的角色不仅仅像许多人常说的那样，“为众多有实力的新人和新的音乐势力提供开放的平台，为内地摇滚乐的发展描绘出一幅幅清新的蓝图”，同时也可以将其看作是一部新音乐的发展简史，参与其中的乐队或是艺人也许在当时并不是那么显眼，但今天他们已经成为了华语乐坛不可或缺的重要角色。这其中除了我们熟悉的清醒、新裤子、超级市场、果味 VC 、麦田守望者、便利商店、花儿 …. 之外，还包括气质比较独立的周先生、木马、舌头、沙子、苍蝇、诱导社、PK14… 另外当年《摩登天空1》的龙宽和为她编曲的羽伞也在去年以“龙宽九段”的名义成为了最抢眼的实力组合，还有田震的御用制作人杨嘉松也曾以小松这个名字在《摩登天空1》发表过一首《宝贝》。
如今《摩登天空5》的出现就像是一个周期，又一次让我看到了《摩登天空1》时的景象。其中包括了当年新裤子、清醒、超级市场和果味 VC 在今天的回归，以及牛奶@咖啡、声音玩具、旅行团和重塑雕像的权利这些新声的浮现。在当中你能体察到那些老乐队的变化，也能感受到这些新乐队在风格上的趋势。
98年的新裤子是受到 Ramones 影响之后的三和弦朋克，但在如今的《Bye Bye Disco》当中，他们却已成为复古80年代的 Disco 组合。相比之下清醒的变化并不明显，但这首《白》就像当年的《记忆散落了，没有声音》一样，用层次丰富的吉他演奏和艺术摇滚的浪漫气息，营造了朗朗上口却又百听不厌的柔美氛围。超级市场继续着上张专辑《繁荣的》同时，也第一次在前奏中加入了地中海岸的 Chill-Out 迷离。果味 VC 的《Athens Calling》是未收入新专辑《来自VC的礼物》的遗珠之作，因此风格上也和同专辑中的作品较为一致。
新人方面，牛奶@咖啡可以称得上是今年最具实力的人气组合，《只有我们知道的地方》的音乐连同歌名未免会让你想起去年英国新秀 Keane 和他们那首著名的《Some Where Only We Know》，不过他们并不是在刻意模仿 Keane ，而是和他们一样，都在音乐路线上选择了 Soft Rock 。假如来自成都的声音玩具用英文演唱的话，一定会让我误以为他们是上世纪60年代末的英国迷幻乐队 Soft Machine ，这次献上的是比他们曾经最著名的《爱铃》还要唯美的《秘密的爱》。略带蓝调气息的旅行团完全可以媲美今年在格莱美有所斩获的 Maroon 5 (魔力红)，值得一提的是，他们的主唱虽然是地地道道的中国人，但在这首英文作品的发音上却体现出浓重的加州气息。重塑雕像的权利继承了70年代末几乎所有后朋克乐队的精华，如果拿这首《a Vision of Chris》同前不久刚刚发表专辑的英国乐队 the Dead 60s 相比，后者只能是一支暖场乐队。
